David

Dscn2735thumb_1Kik and I had a nice time at David Audet's place last night. David worked on the recent Ybor Festival of the Moving Image and I helped with the program a little. He showed a few shorts from the festival before they need to be returned to their owner or forwarded on to the next festival.

He borrowed a large homemade screen consisting of several large pieces of fabric streched between a top and bottom dowel for support. It gave the films an added twist with the screen a seemingly living, breathing canvas. David lives in a small house that is covered in artifacts from his rich exsistence. It feels like wandering through a 3-dimensional scrapbook. We watched the films from his backporch with the screen framed by a view of the lake behind his house.
