So the Smoking Gun has some coorespondence between Harriet Miers and GWB while he was still Governor. Intersting stuff. He says "No more public scatology?" and "Have a great life!" (have a Supreme Court nomination!) She says "Cool!" She is a grade A kiss-up and it appears to have served her well. And in case you've been wondering - this is where all the exclamation points have gone!!!

at some point, w was asked about miers' position on issues like abortion. he claimed he didn't know because he couldn't recall an instance when they talked about it. i wondered - how can you be friends with someone for years and not talk about things of consequence? considering this correspondence, though, maybe he was telling the truth for once...
