Snoopy Surprise

When I was a little kid I came home from school and told my mom that I wanted her to make Snoopy Surprise for dinner. It was on the menu in the cafeteria that day and I had thoroughly enjoyed it. Remarkably to me, my mom had no idea what Snoopy Surprise was and we had something else for dinner that night.

I wasn't used to my mom not at least trying to fulfill such a request and soon enough it seemed she had made the effort with respect to the Snoopy Surprise. She made it for dinner! I thanked her for it by name and she seemed as shocked and excited as I was. That was because she had made mashed potatoes and beef gravy. The unknown (to her) secret ingredients to Snoopy Surprise!!!

We had it only occasionally as it didn't really go over great with the rest of the family. But she made it for me this week when I went over to visit. Mom and Dad both humored me through the meal, though, I did receive all the leftovers in my to-go bag.

Wow! I had some snoopy poop and it was really good! So good that it made me think like a young person.
So good that I spent an hour on myspace looking for people.
So good that I am taking some of it home and starting a tradition with Madison. She will try some Snoopy surprise tonight. We may have to call it Scooby Doo surprise (she doesn't know who Snoopy is). Thanks Amy!

wait - it's supposed to be over rice.
And it's called Gravy Train.
Or that's something else entirely
