I finally got the backyard mowed last night following The Snake Incident last weekend. Grass grows fast during the rainy Florida summer. Anyway, some good came of the delay...I got to see the very first flower on the magnolia tree Mary and Michelle gave us! It's such a little tree and we planted it right before the dry winter...I had doubts the little guy would even survive. The bloom closed up between the time I mowed and after the rain when I got back out there to take these pictures. But you get the idea.
