Yeah, so I've lived in Florida for a while. I was born here and I've only ventured off for a few years here and there since high school. But in all that time one of the greatest logos has been staring back at me from car window decals, shirts, caps, and spare tire covers and I never even looked at it. Until Sunday.
On the way to visit my grandpa and Sheila (who made us delicious spaghetti) I noticed the logo for the Miami Dolphins on the back of some car on US 19 (I can only pay attention to so many details apparently). Anyway, have you ever looked at this logo? It's a slightly grimacing dolphin wearing a football helmet. That's it. A dolphin in a helmet. It's one of the few logos that hasn't been reworked to make the animal look like it is pumped up with the steriods. Although, in the case of Buccaneer Bruce it was really more a matter of sending him off to "Straight Camp" for a little while.
Anyway, I love it. A silly little dolphin in a hat. I don't like the Dolphins, or U. of Miami, or well, much of Miami in general, but the logo is great. I am all for animals in hats. And it makes me smile.

Ha! He makes me smile too. I will not be surprised if they update him soon with muscles and a snarl. Kinda like this.

He is fabulous, and it would suck if they beefed him up.
My father is an all out dolphin fan. Charlie is not going to be able to escape. He's already teaching him the finer points of football...
i used to have a tshirt with him on it when i was little, and i LOVED it! Even though i didn't watch football. :)
