Kendra and I just got back from Madison's (Ruth's Madison) seventh birthday celebration. She had a skating party this year. The kids are hysterical -- they drop like flies and bounce right back up. On repeat. It was a blast. The place was so much smaller than I remember. Amazing how that works.

Last time I went roller skating was last year when we were in Utah visiting Tony's family. I started out with the newfangled plastic ones and could barely stay up! I thought I had totally lost my touch. But then, I noticed they had the old-school skates in the corner. I switched over to those and totally got my skate on. I was ready to try out for our local roller derby as soon as we got back to Seattle!
I agree - the rink seem so much freaking smaller now. And dodging the little ones so you don't run them over is so much work!
The skating rink STILL scares me! Ask Kik and Betsy about the last time we decided THAT was a good idea. ;)
