So it's official. I am scheduled for (another) ACL surgery next Wednesday. Kik has been so wonderful and I can only hope that I don't put her through too much whining before this is all behind us. Mom reminded me about the ice this afternoon. I had forgotten how many times the cooler that cools the water that runs around your knee (I'll take a picture of this contraption so your brain will stop hurting from trying to envision it) Anyway...so that the water stays cold it takes a lot of ice. Apparently enough to make my mom's only comment about Kik being in charge of my recovery "She will have to get the ice." Yes, the ice and the meds and pillows, blankets, remote controls and I am certain a long list of other needs that will no doubt occur to me. Bless her heart. If you see her tell her you are proud of her (while you secretly give thanks that it isn't you fetching more ice.)

You poor thing!!! :(
I know you have a lot of people to help out, but if there's anything I can do... you know my number.
As someone who has blown both ACL's and had seven knee surgeries (so far), I feel for you. Fortunately the recovery is much faster now than it used to be, though it still pretty much sucks. Best of luck.
again i say to you my dear ... milk it for all it's worth. the pain has to have some sort of good side to it ;)
I'm with Betsy. Milk it as long as you can.
Good Lord! That's a lot of surgeries. This will make four total surgeries for me (both knees, lower back and my nose after it was broken by my high school basketball coach while we were playing softball. It's a long story.)
Anyway, that's so much to all of you for the well wishes. And as the milking goes...well, I'll just say that not much around the house has changed except that now I can't do anything. As opposed to just plain old not doing anything. Thanks sweethead. ; )
