First cast out the beam out of thine own eye

Kik was attacked by someone that expected her to reconcile her being gay and a Christian. Betsy's response to the thread summed up my feeling far better than I was able:

"..I admire you for continuing to find the beauty and peace in a religion that so many desecrate with their own hate".

It's interesting to me really. When I consider the friends, family and acquaintances we are surrounded by it occurs to me that it is much less risky to proclaim myself gay than it would be to proclaim myself Christian.

Well, Wanda would say that I wouldn't be happy without having to fight an uphill battle.
But the reality is, I have never been happier in my life. And this is a huge part of my happiness.
Thanks for all the support.

sorry this is off subject, but it's really a little creepy that your eyes move in your blogger icon.

It did catch me a little off guard too. How did you do that?

Oh, the eye thing? It's an animated gif (like the dancing baby and the dancing hamsters -- come to think of it, maybe I should be dancing).
